Speaker: Joshua McKay, Technology Consultant, Account Manager and Network Engineer with Salvus TG
Josh McKay began his career in technology at Salvus TG as a Microsoft Certified technician with expertise in hardware, software, and network administration. During his time as a member of the Salvus TG helpdesk team, he gained several years of hands-on experience supporting and administering various companies and technologies. Along with technical experience, he gained a strong interest in consulting with business leaders on emerging technology and solutions. This interest developed into a passion and his next career challenge, to migrate into consulting, became an obvious choice. With a technician’s expertise and an executive’s understanding, Josh now spends his days meeting with company leadership to solve problems with technical solutions and mitigate vulnerabilities with education.
Program: Network (In)Security – Are You Taking the Right Steps to Stay Secure?
In today’s network security environment, a multi-tier approach is a vital part of the network infrastructure design. Joshua McKay will take you through the vast range of technologies and protections that are available to your firm. You’ll learn about current threats and how to mitigate them, the right questions to ask your IT department or vendor, and hear about threats you may not have considered. Topics such as Intrusion Prevention, Geo-IP Filtering, Mobile Security, Penetration Testing, and many more will be covered. This presentation will give you the knowledge necessary to make sure you’re doing everything you can to keep your network secure.
