Please join us for this afternoon meeting where we welcome Michael Cole who will present Litigation Holds 101 – What, Why, When, How… The presentation is designed to provide information to non-lawyers about what legal holds are, why and when they are issued, how they differ from document retention policies, and what are the consequences of not putting one in place when it is needed.

Michael is the Director of Litigation Support at Lathrop GPM. As part of this role he assists in advising firm clients regarding litigation holds, data/document collections, and e-discovery related to pending litigation. He also coordinates the legal/litigation holds for the firm in collaboration with the firm’s General Counsel. He worked at Thompson Coburn in St Louis before joining Lathrop where he managed the firm’s Litigation Support Department for six years. Before that he was a litigator specializing in product liability litigation.
